Please excuse the non riding attire - like I said, this was very
much impromptu! I came to watch an informal training day with this reining
coach, who was kind enough to demo his style of horsemanship to me a little.
Then he invited me to get on his
horse... you bet! It was a terrific and informative session on this horse
who, it turned out, is his latest reining champion. It was a generous
offer to be sure, and quite something to experience the maneuverability of
the head, neck, shoulders, ribcage and hindquarters built into his training
-- and the horse's willingness to please. Photos are
